March 19, 2016 - Shooting this wedding was fun and relaxed. Most weddings are crazy, hectic and emotional but not this one. There were no strict time lines and the ceremony and reception went off without a hitch. Because this was the couples second time getting married to each other the pressure of the "first" wedding wasn't there.
When I was approached to do this wedding by my Uncle who was friends with the couple, I heard the story and immediately had no problem capturing their day. I contacted the groom and all he really wanted was a few photos of the ceremony and a few at the reception. He would pay me and I would give him the SD Card, so he could print the photos as "shot straight out of camera" (SOOC). I know, scary and a big no no right? Photos need to be edited! I had no issue with it though (and it most likely will never happen this way again) but it meant that I really had to make sure I knew what I was doing because there was no "faking" it with photoshop. (Photos below have been edited)
All in all it was a great experience as my first time for shooting a wedding. I learned a few things, like trying to focus on subjects at the reception in a nearly dark room is a very hard to thing to do. Anyway, here are a few photos from the day.
